Ma casually shares her desire to visit France with Pop, and soon the entire ten-member Larkin family is off across the English Channel for a vacation. It’s a disaster from the start, but it’s a hilarious disaster, with awful accommodations and peculiar food and quirky English-French conflicts. The Larkins form a sort of English Beverly Hillbillies. An absolute delight. I’m in love with this ridiculous group of people.
