This started strong. The characters were interesting, the love story was passionate, the woman (Hannah - was Hannah a name back then? And Dawn? and Barbara?) was nicely independent and prickly. I loved how Hannah, the Duchess (widow of a Duke, whom she loved very much, though he was quite elderly), was beautiful and cranky but insecure and completely different than her presentation, and I loved how Constantine (not quite an Earl, due to illegitimate birth, that he sorta cares about but sort of d
