This book blew me away. Talk about a heartbreaker. Two boys lie to their parents, telling them they are going to ride their bikes up to a park when they fully intend to do something they’ve been forbidden to do. One boy doesn’t come home. Newbery Honor.

3,5 stars.

A contemplation book about moral, character, integrity, and how a boy tried to grasp his conscience and guilt due to a friend's accident. It's an agonizing book, not long and straightforward, and I think will be a good read for younger kids who are still trying to find out their way in life.
