Then, in this vanishingly small moment in the history of the universe, she took my hand, and held it all the way to the subway.
4.5 stars. What an enjoyable read! Now I know I read books I adore in only one or two sittings, so I'm a little surprised myself that it took me over a month to finish it, but I think life circumstances are solely to blame.

I found myself immersed on this story about an socially awkward professor who falls in love with an unsuitable (according to him) woman. While I felt some of the professors and his love target characteristics a bit exaggerated, it was a completely relatable story about how the love one finds looks entirely different the list one makes to find it.

Very few books have made me laugh so hard...or think so deeply about the screwed-up behavior both the non-normal and normal sides of a dating relationship can hoist on each other....with all of it making sense in their own mind! Already recommended to several friends.

What a fun, quick, lovely read. Don's character is irrepressible, I can just imagine his fraught attempts at dating and finding a wife. I can also imagine that he must have driven the Dean to the edge of insanity, many, many times. I really, really enjoyed reading this book. ...more

Just a fun, occasionally laugh out loud book with likable characters, movie references, and an interesting problem to be solved. Would have been a good beach read but i needed a book like this now!
