If this book had just been a quirky dumb romcom about a socially anxious introverted genius, I would have had no problems with it, and probably rated it 4 or 5 stars. Instead the author kept throwing in references to Autism Spectrum Disorder in a way that I found stereotypical, insulting and not a realistic or empathetic view of ASD at all. Don Tillman is a professor of genetics who decides it's time he found a wife so he devises a questionnaire that he posts to dating sites. Don seems to be on the autism spectrum though he's never been officially diagnosed. He lives by a very rigid schedule and eats the same meals every week. Rosie shows up in Don's office and he believes she is an applicant for his wife project. Though she's totally unsuitable he still finds himself attracted to her. I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick, clever read that had me laughing out loud quite a bit. It was one of six summer books recommended by Bill Gates, and an excellent suggestion at that. (A humorous romance recommended by Bill Gates? Go figure.) I plan on lending out my copy for friends to enjoy (yes, it's good enough to share) and look forward to the sequel due to release later this year.
