It would not be right to say that I enjoyed this book because it reveals a lot of things that are wrong with the society today. The main character is somewhat extreme in some of his views but I found myself agreeing with many of his observations. Some of the things we are witnessing today which the book explores are the hypocrisy of all social strata, sensationalism in the media, obscene reality shows and the lack of criticism in people who unquestioningly allow themselves to be sucked into part ...more

After reading this book I could clearly see the absurdity from our society and how strange we may look to an outside observer. Maybe for some readers this book might be considered extremely exagerated, but if you look closely to modern society you can find a lot of similarities with this book. Restrictions to tobacco are only one of them. I think it is best to let each reader to discover this things.
My copy of this book is in romanian.
