A powerful book about the power of believing in a cause, and the strength that young people can have even in the face of death. Malala is a role model for women everywhere, and a reminder that we do not need to be rich, famous or powerful in order to make a difference in our community.

A fascinating look into the fight for education in Pakistan. Reminding me of the Diary of Anne Frank, Malala tells of the immense struggle for women's rights, and the freedom to live life as one chooses from the viewpoint of a clear-eyed young girl. Without many of the preconceived notions and acceptance of old ways that come with adulthood, she asks why things should be this way when looking at the life around her.
