I recieved this for Christmas. I've only read the first couple chapters but it's giving me insight into what shaped the man who will be our president. Obama wrote this when he was in his early thirties, long before his presidential aspirations.

I finished reading this last week - 1/9/09. I found his community organizing days interesting as it taught me something about the inner city and churches. Obama also worked with teen moms!

Really enjoyed the first part of the book. Very inspirational.
The second part ... I am not sure what really bugged me but there is something. Maybe the way he debates about white and black ... although I can sometimes relate with french and english speaking in QC.
