I have never read a book written by a Presidential candidate before and I am glad I did. I feel that I know Obama on a very personal level after reading his well written memoir. I know where he is coming from and hopefully I know where he is going. This book details his childhood, his struggle with identity as a bi-racial male and his past. Interesting to know the details of Barack Obama's life until the time of his marriage to Michelle. For the first time in history we have a multi-racial internationally educated president. I hope the diversity of his origins and experiences can help find some solutions for the US. I also hope it isn't already too late to solve many of our problems.

Really enjoyed the first part of the book. Very inspirational.
The second part ... I am not sure what really bugged me but there is something. Maybe the way he debates about white and black ... although I can sometimes relate with french and english speaking in QC.
