What Members Thought

I loved "Arabian Sands" and was looking forward to this. It is interesting, but it is literally a diary of two journeys Thesiger took as a very young man. He already shows that physical courage and fascination with people's ideas and customs that would make him the great man he became, but the introspection and nuance is missing here. Probably this work is only for the "Thesiger diehard."
