Alexandra Fuller has made a writing career based on her family history, with this being the third instalment. As interesting as Fuller's family really is, she is obviously running out of material and is ranging farther afield for filler, including anecdotal information from both her extended family and that of her husband. I found that the material was a little too thin in the last half of the book and it was only with difficulty that I was able to maintain any interest. I was left with the impr ...more

I like all of her previous books and this one did not disappoint. What a family and setting to grow up in!
