What Members Thought

This is an amazing story of a woman who went through hell and back. Yes, she was foolish and naive and her choices brought her troubles upon herself to a large degree. But she also managed to survive conditions that would probably have killed a lot of other people. I found this book to be both terrifying and inspiring. A real page turner.

The first 100 pages weren't that interesting to me, but I can see how they were necessary background for what follows. The rest of the book was an incredible account of the author's terrifying ordeal in captivity. While it was awful to read the details of what she endured, I admired and felt inspired by all the ways she managed to maintain her will to live and, somehow, preserve her sanity, in spite of all the ordeals.
