I really, really enjoyed reading this book. I completely enjoyed the very pictorial descriptions of Kenya, at times you could close your eyes and picture yourself there (almost a bit Proustian). The main characters although scarred were for the most part likable, and you could relate to their actions. But I think what really hooked me was that the dialogue was sassy and witty throughout the book. I hope there will be another related novella/epilogue because the end left me craving for more.

Not as historical or true to life as I would have liked, most characters not well developed, but an entertaining read anyway.
