What Members Thought
The intersection between "fiction read purely for entertainment purposes" and "fiction with non-obnoxious politics" is very small (Mira Grant and Stieg Larsen and Cora Harrison and Tana French, you're ok). This novel does not add to that body of work. Recommend me a spy novel that doesn't come with a massive white savior thing, and I'll mail you some limoncello.

A long and difficult read. But the plot was thrilling.
I had such a hard time getting into this book. It moved so quickly from one setting to another with no transition I found myself lost. But halfway through I finally got into the rhythm of it and enjoyed the rest of the book. I did finally appreciate the writing and it had some interesting plots and thoughts.
