My 11th or 12th Gabriel Allon book and of course it was like visiting an old friend. This one started kind of slow, but part 2 and 3 were great. Set in Moscow, Corsica and London - I love the varied settings for his books. Some twists and turns that i did not expect and of course great dialog between Gabriel and all the other members of his team from the Office, Graham and Chiara. This was another fun installment in the Gabriel Allon series. Silva delivered his trademark elements, unexpected plot twists, incredible situations and the lovely characters he has developed over the series. It was a bit like visiting with old friends.

I'm not the biggest fan of the mid-game here as things get a bit too convenient for Allon and the final twist has been more than done, but bringing Christopher Keller back is a good choice. ...more
