This is the first novel that I’ve read by mystery writer, Linda Barnes. As a sufferer of panic attacks and agoraphobia, main protagonist, Em, is content to be the silent half of a biographical ghost writing team. When her writing partner, Teddy, is killed in a car accident, she must make the choice to give up on their current project or fight through her fears and anxiety. Refusing to give up, she gathers Teddy’s materials and heads to the Cape to finalize the biography of a famous director.
