What Members Thought
I feel so bad about the two stars. This book was so difficult to keep picking up, and yet, once picked up each time it held my interest for a little while. The prose is beautiful, there are parts of it that are just gorgeous, the subject matter (starting with the mechanics of moving the statues at Abu Simbel) is interesting to me, and some of the insights were startling enough to make me go back and re-read them.
