Re-read this 1985 award-winning (Hugo & Nebula) book for a book club. Remember enjoying "Ender's Game" the first time I read it 16 years ago - enough that I went on to read a number of additional books in the series. This time through, while still enjoyed revisiting the book, realized I had forgotten it had, what seems to me, a few clunky spots.

Interesting sci-fi read with some pretty complex moral issues about childhood, innocence, violence, genocide and the justification of war. I'm feeling very ambivalent about Ender and how the book ended. Looking forward to the movie in 2013. It has the potential of generating even more controversy than the Hunger Games movie....

Beautifully written! I still find it odd to think that this book was first published in 1977. I'm not sure why, it just doesn't seem possible in some way.
I flew through this book, and my only regret about this book is that I didn't read it earlier. :) ...more
