I went through this novel so fast I didn't even have a chance to mark my page progress. It's also very short, but the fact that I read it between two 12 hour work days says something about it.
The length of this novel was perfect. One more word and it may have crossed into sentimentality or moroseness. It's a pretty straightforward and familiar theme told in a very unique and natural voice.

Great examination of family relationship
Really admirable writing. Don't be deceived by the slender size; you really need to pay ridiculously close attention to each and every sentence. Home girl does NOT waste words.
