This is really a character driven novel that relates the story of four people who are driven by their own ambitions to the point where their abilities to relate to other people is severely compromised.
A bit disappointing since I expected really high on this book... I love Jhumpa Lahiri (still do) but I wished she could do something more with the story and characters. This book feels to flat for me, very dull in some parts, although the writing is still really good. Look forward to the next one!
