Shelves: fiction, scifi-and-fantasy, mystery-and-thriller
I was mildly interested in this story—murder mystery taking place in a dystopian, end-of-world scenario—partly because it takes place in and around Concord, New Hampshire, and partly because I was hoping it would be more than just a run-of-the-mill mystery novel. I was not disappointed. I can see why it was an Edgar Award winner, and I definitely plan to read the next book in the series (and the one after that, if I like the second one).
