A man falls out of an open window at his family chateau on the outskirts of Aix by the caretaker. Did he fall by accident? This story is very reminiscent of the Simenon mysteries which I devoured years ago when they were all new to me. It takes place in France and has a very French 'feel' to it, if you know what I mean. The mystery in the plot was good, but the ambiance and the characters were just as good. It made me feel like I was back in France again and that I should just go get a ticket and fly there. I will definitely be reading more of these!
