I must confess that I did not have great expectations for this book. I was guilty of prejudging it, assuming that it would, like some books I’d read on the lives

It has taken a while for the heroines of WWII to get recognized for their efforts, but better late than never. I am also amazed to learn how long some of these fearless women lived after the war ended, despite the hardships that they sustained physically. Those eighty nd ninety years lds must have had good genes to go along with their iron will.
