Chris Bohjalian is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors as far as historical fiction goes. Like Ken Follet, he is able to bring in pieces of history that I either had no idea even happened OR knew very little about without preaching it. So many authors make me feel like they are sure I have no idea about the historical fact or event and they go too far to teach it and preach it. I love well-written historical fiction. Now the tough decision is to figure out which book of his to read next.
