I'm sorry, but it amazes me that this book has such a following from so many people interested in China. I found this book poorly researched, immaturely written, and also quite held-back. Did this pseudonym-using "adventurer" actually sleep with the prostitutes? Did he actually do the drugs? Did he really get involved with the criminal underbelly?
