First book I’ve completed in a month. Maybe I’m in a slump. This certainly won’t be the book to get me out of it, though it was quite serviceable, a novel that leaves one feeling satisfied, with little things to think about, but nothing I’ll remember in a year. Yes, perfectly satisfactory, but somehow I still want more.

An interesting read with a twist ending almost worthy of Piccoult. I love that Anita Shreve writes about the same area in New Hampshire in each book and loves that she reveals that several books were set in the same beach house as this. I'd recommend this book, I even liked the choppy narrative style.

As usual, another page-turner from Anita Shreve. Devoured it in less than 48 hours... a welcome respite from The Inheritance of Loss, which has proven to be heavy and sad.

Set in New Hampshire and Boston. Great descriptions of the moods of the ocean and life near the ocean. Good novel for the end of August
