I so loved this book. Sadly, the author died before it was published. What a story though. It starts out in the early 1900s in a remote part of New Brunswick, Canada and tells the story of the Hillock family over the course of their lives--focusing mainly on Idella & Avis--two sisters The story was beautifully told; the only reason I didn't finish it sooner is because I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough at night!
