I loved, loved, loved this book. I read it several years ago and have been anxiously awaiting the author's next novel ever since. The book is the story of Edgar Mint as told by him. It begins when as a child, he is run over by a mail truck on the reservation in which he lives. Got your attention? He recovers, but is never quite right and thus the story is, shall we say, slightly skewed. There are difficult scenes but they are always tempered with laugh out loud ones. The writer is the son of my HS principal and senior English teacher. This books is fantastic. Interesting and takes place in the area that I grew up in. Talented writer from a talented family.
