What Members Thought

Who knew that a book about cloistered nuns could be such a page-turner? With all the turmoil going on in the world today, this was exactly what I needed to read. Although I am not Catholic, I am a Jesus follower, I was uplifted by the very thought of praying continually, as the Apostle Paul urges us to.

Beautiful book. The story itself is interesting but I think the beauty lies in the portrayal of community life, the exploration of the Office of the Hours, the spiritual journey undertaken by postulants.
The book dragged in a few spots, which is what made me hold back on one star. Overall though, I feel very moved by this book and am glad I read it.
