I gave it a 4 because to wrap up a murder investigation in less than 100 pages is by itself a feat. The story is good.
I have read so-so reviews because the plot goes to fast, however, it should be known that the book was published as part of a program promoting literature among adults. Therefore, this book achieved its goal !

Short stories, especially mysteries, seem to me to be harder to write than novels because everything must be explained in only a few pages, yet there perfect logic must prevail. Louise Penny shows how it is done here.
It was a nice easy read I'm for sure going to continue with the series.
