3.75 stars. I think I'm gonna have to sleep on this one. I don't completely get it. Which is a little scary, considering it's juvenile fiction. Hmm.

I enjoyed the transformation of Miranda's character as her discoveries are revealed. The changing friendships theme was the one I embraced the most because it is realistic how lots might be observed, but misinterpreted and definitely affecting one emotionally. I think that would appeal to my own kids as they read this book.
