Inca nu ma pot aduna in urma acestei lecturi. Este o carte atat de tulburatoare care abordeaza numeroase teme: relatii defectuoase, droguri, prostitutie. Daca vreti sa o cititi, pregatiti-va pentru o carte dura. Nu pot sa spun ca o recomand sau nu. Este potrivita daca va interesează subiectul sau daca aveti nervi tari sa cititi despre asemenea subiecte.
I'm not really sure what year I read this, but probably 1979, since I read it quite some time before the movie. Perhaps if I re-read it now, as an adult, I'd be less than impressed, but as a young adult, it made a HUGE impression on me! To this day, I still vividly remember certain scenes, like when her liver "capitulated" at the chocolate factory (I had to look that word up), when she could eat nothing but pudding, and when Detlef put clean sheets out for her and they slept back-to-back.
