I am a fan of Laurie Halse Anderson, and I love all of her books that I've read so far. Mostly they're young adult or middle grade books, but all of them are contemporary fiction. This is the first time I've read a historical fiction by Anderson, and the verdict is still the same: I like it a lot!

Book #8 of 2013: I LOVE historical fiction. Even YA Historical fiction. One of my students recommended this book and I am glad I read it. I didn't know anything about the Yellow Fever epidemic in Philadelphia in the summer of 1793. It took a devastating toll on a growing city...both the fever and the doctoring.
