What a lovely little gem of a book. Bauermeister is a wordsmith of poetical caliber. I absolutely loved the food descriptions and I loved the weaving of the story through the cooking class members. This is a book I may have to buy so that I can randomly read a chapter every now and then.
I loved each tidbit in this book & hope that I can learn to slow down & truly taste the ingredients.
I read this book on vacation. It was the perfect book for my mood.
The language was so rich...I wanted to take cooking class with the characters.
Finished listening to the first disc today. So far, so good.It wasn't worth finishing!

My second read of spring break. An excellent choice for spring break. The plot is simple: A woman runs a cooking school where people come to learn to cook, yes, but also to be healed. Little magical elements in the story, but it never felt forced or excessive.
