Beautiful coming of age story. But more than that its a trip back in time and a vision of India through the eyes of someone born there, yet not raised there. Its also a story a teen angst in a time before the internet. Where moving to India must have felt like Antarctica to a teen that just wanted to go to college with his buddies and American girlfriend. Wonderful story and character arc as the protagonist comes to know the country and family he left behind years ago.
