This was an audio read for me.
Very good narrators kept my attention.
This is an appropriate title for the book as there are several "change of heart" situations -some where you least expect it.

Unless I'm reading a series (& expect to revisit characters) I don't like it when authors bring a character from one book into another. Jodi Picoult brought Ian Fletcher from her previous book into this book as a character & I thought it was a bit contrived. This book (unlike most of her others) didn't have that "wind knocked out of me" experience. It was a very well-written, interesting topic with complex characters. Was a really good book. Was hooked from the beginning to end. I do have to agree with other reviewers that this novel is similar to The Green Mile. There are many similarities. I would like to have seen Shay Bourne's POV in this one since he was a main character and the story revolved around him. Compared to "Faith", I like this religious based story better. ...more

I figured out the twist during the first 20 or so pages. Also, I found this book to be too religion-based for my liking, but I guess since it dealt with a moral issue, it would have to be.
