This one showcases Kingsolver's eco-centric style to best effect as you see the intersecting and diverging ways that nature impacts the lives of people who live close to it. Her characters are deeply drawn and engaging, making the pages fly by smoothly and keeping you eager to see how they move towards their destinies.

I felt this book was a little obvious in it's environmental teaching agenda (which is always a good agenda, it was just too blatant). I loved the descriptions of nature and especially of early pregnancy.
