Dear Friend,
I am writing to you because I know you will listen and understand what I am trying to say. I picked up this book because a 9th grade student recommended it to me. It is a epistolary novel written to a unknown person by a 9th grade student named Charlie. Charlie is the youngest of three children and has suffered his share of tragedy. Charlie is tragically wonderful and unique. He will make your heart skip.

I absolutely loved this book, even if I am nowhere close to being a teenager. What I loved about it:
1. Point of view - I loved how I felt that I was receiving the letters from Charlie.
2. Language - It was written in straight-forward teenage language that was consistent with the story. First few pages, I was irritated at how "shallow" the language was. But, later on, I did get the hang of it... and besides, it was a 15 year old writing the letter... so don't expect deep, and intellecutally snob ...more
