I really liked this book. It's the future and men only live to 25 and women to 20 because of a glitch in DNA. In the first book Rhine is captured and made one of 3 wives to replace an heirs wife who recently died of this futuristic "plague". It's part dytopian, part mediveval fantasy! Its pretty interesting. I have to read the next one because Rhine is getting closer to 20 and the next one is called Fever so you can bet that will be interesting:) There is no cure for this in the first book. All ...more

This is better than I thought it would be in that it held my interest long enough to (want to) finish it. It's purely entertaining, hardly straining, and even has a few well-written lines. It's well-crafted but basically trivial. And it's formulaic because it's obviously geared to hook you into reading the series which I don't think I'll do. ...more
