Sookie's cousin Hadley, who at some point was turned into a vampire, has died and she must go to New Orleans to clean out Hadley's apartment. Sookie has also started dating Quinn, a weretiger. We also find out a bit more about why supernatural beings are attracted to Sookie. The main storyline didn't start until about a third of the way through the book and I found the beginning to be slow going. The book brought witches more to the forefront of the action. Sookie never disappoints on the entertainment and light reading front. Just what I needed after the epic Lonesome Dove.

I enjoyed this book - although it took me a long time to get through. I also feel like it's starting to get hard to keep track of everything that has happened/all the characters in this book series. I think I will continue on but may need to take a break.
