My main problem with this book is that not enough of it is actually about building the cork boat. The first two thirds of the book spends too much time randomly wandering off to the authors job as Clintons speech writer and his time in Antarctica. When Pollack and crew fiunally do get the boat in the water in Portugal I feel like he skimmed over big chunks of the actual boat trip down the river. I didn't intensely dislike the book I just don't think it was well written.
