I enjoyed the escape to the park and enjoyed the story of Toni and her family. The ending was okay, but the rest of the story was very enjoyable to me, even if parts are predictable. Even if you know where a story is headed, if you like the characters and story-telling enough, then you still are willing to listen and even cheer for them to get to their ultimate destination. There is so much fact in this historical fiction book that you keep having to remind yourself that it is only fiction. Since Disney began to monopolize the amusement park industry the color and unique qualities of the original parks has disappeared which is not necessarily a good thing.
