This was ok+.
I loved the first half or so -- reminiscent of Mr Churchill's Secretary, but with slightly better writing and more depth. Vaguely reminiscent of Becoming Clementine, with *much* better writing and much less ridiculousness. Then everything sort of tapered out somehow, and I was left feeling like I'd read yet another spy novel where nothing actually happens.
I'm kind of scratching my head about that reaction, as a lot actually *does* happen in the last third of the book. Including quit ...more
