Part of my re-reading of Faulkner project. I may write more later, but I revisited this one shortly before joining Goodreads. Anyway, basically Faulkner does noir. And he does it very well. One of the most disturbing books in American Literature. A genre book that is so much more. Ever been somewhere you didn't want to be? With bad people giving you the Eye?
