Alex McKnight is approached by an Ojibwa women who he briefly met at a hockey game. She's running away from her abusive boyfriend. Alex lets her spend the night at one of his cabins but in the morning she's disappeared, apparently abducted. Alex vows to find her and rescue her. One of the things I like the most about this series is its setting in Michigan's upper peninsula. I like Alex teaming up with another PI in this book.
