This is one of those books that's been on my tbr forever, and that I thought I would absolutely love based on the type of historical and great reviews. And I have to admit that the beginning caught me, I was feeling warm and fuzzy and getting excited about Daphne being a relateable character. I was even liking Simon and really feeling so heartbroken for his upbringing.

This is a very good Regency romance with a likeable and unusual heroine. It is a quick read, but an absorbing one, with lots of possibilities for sequels since the female MC has a large family with a mother who has a surprising attitude, and lots of brothers and sisters, all of whom are interesting subjects for 'starring' in their own stories. This is a very good series.
