Compelling and finely tuned, with a narrative force that pushes you forward even as you yearn to slow down to avoid what you know is coming. A powerful story that draws some uneasy parallels to our recently concluded election, despite having been published a few years before, and a must-read for any student of the era.

I was so caught up in the book that I actually didn't want to leave the house to go to work in the mornings. ...more

The premise is a good one--and very scarily plausible--but I couldn't stomach the feeling of unease and dread, so I bailed. Maybe another time. ...more
