Someone told me this was better than "The DaVinci Code," so I read it. I remember it being entertaining, but that's about it.

Robert Langdon is summoned to CERn to help investigate the death of one of their scientists who is branded with the word illuminati. This leads Langdon to missing experimental material and to trying to stop a threat to Vatican City. The book was a little slow to start for me but about 150 pages in the plot got moving.

I thought this book was really good. It's the prequel to the DaVinci code, and kind of follows the same format.
Robert Langdon is called as there has been a murder, and it appears as though a secret society who holds a vendetta against the Catholic Church (the Illuminati)are involved. Robert tries to find them and thwart their plans by following clues within various pieces of art in Italy.
