I think it was Justin who told me that reading this book made him want to scream, and at the time, I was only familiar with two books of Audre Lorde's poetry, so I didn't know that her prose could punch like this. Not that I was not expecting it, but maybe I was limiting in my image of her as a poet. In high school I read this book for some type of book report...it involved creating a board game to show facts about the book.
