Day two: up to disc 3. Not sure. It's starting to sound like the headlines of the local paper strung together. Lots of coincidental stuff mentioned--like it was published while Katrina is fresh in everyone's minds so they mention dredging the Mississippi. And a very long dull chapter about poker!
Started out good, I'm still listening to disc one, but alarm bells have gone off over the 19th Century medicinal pot farm..........maybe ok, maybe I'll abandon this one! We'll see. ...more

I almost forced myself to finish this book. The writing is "overcooked". It could have been more simple and more to the point. The characters are interesting enough but the story doesn't flow.
